Kevin Moore

About me

I'm a web developer with profiency in both frontend and backend technologies. I began my career in web development in 2018 after completion of a 12-week full time bootcamp program, and haven't stopped learning since. I've had the opportunity to work in both agency and SaaS teams, each time quickly adopting the tools of the team and making meaningful contributions. You can find my code in the marketing sites of Unicorns and industry leading companies, as well as in applications generating millions of dollars in recurring revenue.

At my core, I am a maker. I have always loved the act of creation. In my youth, art was my outlet for this passion. As I got older, it evolved into other forms of creativity, from developing board game concepts to operating my own pastry business. I see my career as a developer as the natural evolution of that passion for making. The process of having an idea, refining it, building it, and then watching others interact with it is deeply fulfilling for me. It's what drives me to constantly improve my craft.

I'm a native of Lexington, KY and a current resident of Cleveland, OH with my wife and very large dog.

More than any specific individual skill, I pride myself on my ability to pick up new skills quickly. I ramp up quickly to any job or project, and do not take long to start contributing in meaningful ways.

History

I've had the fortune for working for some great companies. I started my career working in agencies, which afforded me the opportunity to learn a broad set of skills rather quickly to meet various client needs. I've now transitioned into working in the SaaS space, and in my current role have more narrow focus on JavaScript and React as my primary tools. I have a positive relationship with all previous and current employers and am proud of the work I did with each of them.
